Tuesdays from July 4 to 25 2017, from 6 to 9pm
Instructor: Ben Duncan
Join Ben Duncan in pursuit of the harmonious relationship between squeegee, ink and screen. This workshop covers the basics of stencil-based printing, various methods of image preparation and, of course, printing. Some basic knowledge of Photoshop CC is encouraged, but not mandatory.
Artist and educator Ben Duncan explores storytelling and narrative development through sculpture, illustration and screenprinting methods, often creating humorous yet ornate characters appearing to be on the verge of social upheaval. A graduate of the University of Manitoba, Duncan holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts and is the recipient of numerous awards including the University of Manitoba’s CPAM Sculptural Experience Award. Duncan holds the position of Technician with Malaspina Printmakers Studio on Granville Island in Vancouver, BC.
